At Sunkids, we are the
first kindergarten in Hong Kong to use the SFA kindergarten program as our English curriculum.
Success For All is an academic program originated from the Johns Hopkins University, one of the most renowned medical universities in the world. The Success For All (SFA) program is designed to educate children from kindergarten level to middle school level. The SFA program was developed in 1987 and has been used in different school districts throughout the United States. The SFA program has been proven to show success in the many research studies done since 1993.
The Founders
The founders of the SFA program are Dr. Robert Slavin and Dr. Nancy A. Madden.
Robert Slavin, Ph.D, is the Chairman of the Success for All Foundation and Co-Director of the Center for Research on the Education of Students Placed at Risk at Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Slavin is, with Nancy Madden, the driving force behind Success for All’s creation and ongoing research. He is the author or co-author of 21 books and more than 200 articles on topics such as cooperative learning, school organization, and effective programs for students at risk.
Nancy A. Madden, Ph.D, is the President of the Success for All Foundation and co-creator of Success for All. With Robert Slavin, Dr. Madden leads the continual development of the Success for All Foundation’s curricula, training model, and organization. She is the author or co-author of three books and more than 100 articles.
